ITINERARY

Day Before
Reception in Jujuy. Arrival in San Salvador de Jujuy and transfer to Huacalera. Overnight at hotel.

Day 1 | Hornocal
The Hornocal mountain range is located 25 kilometers from the city of Humahuaca.
It is part of the limestone formation known as Yacoraite, which stretches from the province of Salta, crossing the Quebrada de Humahuaca and continuing through the Bolivian Altiplano into Peru.
Its characteristic shape is the result of a cutting effect—created by the angled erosion of parallel sedimentary layers—which produces a visual impression similar to that of folded mountains. Commonly known as the "Hill of 14 Colors," it offers a spectacular view from the lookout point at 4,350 meters above sea level.

Day 2 | Iruya
Iruya is located at 2,780 meters above sea level.
It is a small village with indigenous roots, perched on a plateau among the mountains. Its church, houses, and steep stone streets reflect the traditional way of life of its people.

Day 3 | Uquía - Tilcara - Purmamarca
After two intense days, we have a relaxed day ahead—100% paved roads, mostly downhill. We start in the small village of Uquía, then visit the picturesque town of Tilcara with its famous pucará (optional visit). In the afternoon, we continue on asphalt to one of the most beautiful villages on the route, Purmamarca.

Day 4 | Full Purmamarca
Tour of the Seven Colors Mountain + town center. Lunch at Kindgard Winery.
Free afternoon to relax by the hotel pool. Optional: Visit to Estancia Grande (30 km / 800 m ascent).

Day 5 | Salinas Grandes and Descent via Cuesta de Lipán
The last day of the tour is perhaps the most impressive, combining cycling through the Salinas Grandes at 3,400 meters above sea level, followed by a 35 km descent down the Cuesta de Lipán, all the way to the doorstep of our hotel in Purmamarca.

Day 6 | Departure from Jujuy Airport
Breakfast, hotel check-out, and transfer to the airport to catch your flight home.
